Hello and welcome to the new ChristopherHamilton.net!
Over the last few years my day job has consumed almost all of my time which meant I never really felt the need or had the time to do anything with this site.
For the snippets of writing I’ve been up to that weren’t day job related I took my musings to Twitter or Facebook but that feels less satisfying than writing here.
Over the last year I’ve also started to get serious about my photography, taking it in a more professional route. I created a Sports Photography Portfolio specifically to get more work in that field but I also want to experiment and share with different styles and this website seems like the perfect place to showcase that work.
Starting a Business
The main driving factor in relaunching this website however, is that in getting serious about being creative again, I decided that instead of doing a few things every now and again on the side, I would jump in head first and create a company to hold the structure around my creative endeavours.
The simple act of starting a company makes everything feel more real to me and makes me focus more to be creatively and financially successful.
This website will be a hub for everything I do from this point forward and will be a place I share my successes and failures as I grow both my creative skills and my business.
What to Expect
I intend on creating a posting schedule for the site. The plan is for there to be fresh content that is interesting and entertaining posted on a consistent basis. I don’t know exactly what that schedule is yet, but I’ll share it here as soon as I have something locked down.
My initial thoughts are that I’ll begin with a weekly piece of writing and two new photos a week, with a short piece of writing accompanying each photo.
Until then feel free to follow me on Twitter, Instagram and like my photography page on Facebook. You can say hello by commenting below, using the Contact form or by emailing me at email@example.com
Thanks again for stopping by.
